Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Who do I contact for…?

For any general questions or to discuss a project contact Amanda Gilman at amandagilman@pitt.edu

How early should I submit a project request?

As early as possible! To best develop a marketing plan for an event and for all design projects, it is best to contact us early on in the process. Generally, leaving at least two weeks for a design project will give us time for design and edits.

Is there any charge for services?

We do not charge for our design or consultation services. If there are printing or postage fees attached to a project, those are the client's responsibility. The University Communications marketing and web teams also do not charge for design services, though any work requiring outside resources will likely have fees attached.

What should I do if I’m contacted by a reporter or media representative?

While faculty are free to communicate with media if contacted, it is best to give our team a heads up so we can alert the University's media team and know where to expect coverage. When in doubt, contact us first.

How do I schedule website maintenance training?

Content management training can be requested by completing this form. We can also assist with scheduling if needed.

How do I get a logo or what logo should I use?

Pitt's branding website contains helpful information and downloads, contact amandagilman@pitt.edu for anything not covered on that website.
